Welcome to the Charles Dickens Museum’s Collections Online
Founded by the Dickens Fellowship in 1925, the Charles Dickens Museum holds the world’s most comprehensive collection of material relating to the life and work of Charles Dickens. With over 100,000 items comprising furniture, personal effects, paintings, prints, photographs, letters, manuscripts, and rare editions, the collection is significant for its breadth and depth.
Collections Online is a growing database of our holdings. Launched in 2020, each month we are adding new records and images.
Search object records using key words or through an Advanced Search function. Alternatively browse groups of objects in Collections or Themes with topics range from ‘Interesting Dickens letters’ to ‘Dickensian memorabilia’.
