- The Further Adventures of Oliver Twist was a 13-episode sequel to Dickens's Oliver Twist produced for ATV (a part of ITV, one of the UK's main television channels) in 1980. The screenwriter, David Butler, had been part of a challenge a decade earlier to write a sequel to a classic novel. In it, Oliver attends a boarding school where the Artful Dodger has also been sent, his original fate of being sent to Australia having been overturned.
