- All the Year Round was Dickens's weekly magazine, a successor to Household Words. Monthly 'numbers' like this one collected the weekly issues into a single binding. This is the monthly number for June 1870, the month Dickens died. The issue for the week 25 June contains a foreword by his son, Charles Dickens Jnr., announcing his taking over of the magazine and his intent to keep it the same as Dickens had ran it.
