- William Henry Wills was a journalist and writer who was one of Dickens's sub-editors at his newspaper The Daily News and later his magazine Household Words. This book collected thirty-seven articles from Household Words written by Wills or co-written with Dickens. Dickens trusted Wills so deeply that he entrusted him to pass on Dickens's letters to his alleged mistress, Ellen Ternan, whilst Dickens was in America in 1867.
