- Portrait of Catherine Dickens by Samuel Laurence, 1838
- This chalk and crayon portrait of Catherine Dickens is the companion piece to Samuel Laurence’s drawing of Charles Dickens. It was completed in 1838 when the Dickens’s lived at 48 Doughty Street and was hung in their subequent family homes until they separated in 1858.
