- Watercolour of Kate Perugini by Marcus Stone, 1860s
- Dickens's second daughter Kate was married to Wilkie Collins's brother, Charles, until his death in 1873. She later married the artist Carlo Perugini. This watercolour showing Kate at Dickens's home, Gad's Hill Place, was by Marcus Stone, son of Dickens's friend and illustrator Frank Stone. When Frank died suddenly in 1859, Dickens treated Marcus like a son, welcomed him into his home, and hired him as an illustrator for Our Mutual Friend.
